The Asian Institute of Management-TeaM Energy Center for Bridging Societal Divides, together with the Institute for Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM) and Universitas Paramadina of Indonesia, convened a Regional Conference on Islamic leadership to contribute to the discussions of the state, role, and prospects of Islamic leadership in Southeast Asia. It was held on April 27-28, 2010, at the Holiday Inn Galleria Manila. The Conference aimed to explore the current concepts and practice of Islamic leadership in Muslim communities as well as prospects for improvement within the changing ASEAN context. It became a valuable venue for academicians and practitioners involved in the exercise and study of Islamic leadership to come together as a community for sustaining and bolstering discussions in this field.
