Bridging Leadership as an Innovative Social Technology in Combating Human Trafficking
Prof. Manny De Vera, Executive Director of the AIM TeaM Energy Center for Bridging Leadership, shares the Bridging Leadership Framework and the work of the Center with its Bridging Leaders during the CSO Summit 2014 on Combating Trafficking in Persons. This was hosted by the Visayan Forum together with the Inter Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Held in Davao City last 27-28 November, the summit carried the theme "Mainstreaming Innovations to Address Emerging Vulnerabilities to Human Trafficking" and was attended by over 140 participants from approximately 80 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from all over the country. Prof. De Vera shared how the Bridging Leadership Framework as a social technology allows the co-creation of social innovations in combating human trafficking through its process of multistakeholder engagement and mobilization.
