Terms of Reference

I. General Information

Title Research Associate
Programs Team Energy Center – BL Research Program
Project Status/Duration July 2012-June 2013


The Research Associate shall provide assistance to the Center’s Research Unit in the implementation of the Center’s Research Agenda and the annual objectives and outputs, including the provision of research support to the Mindanao Bridging Leaders Program.

II. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Provide assistance to the Research Manager in the implementation of the Center’s Research Agenda
  • Write summaries of materials for BL workshops, revisions of cases, and papers and other materials for publication, when necessary
  • Coordinate with academic partners for the conduct of research projects and/or preparations for the second Leadership Development Conference
  • Organize and maintain case materials, learning materials, and other publications
  • Conduct and transcribe interviews with MBLP fellows
  • Conduct background research (secondary data gathering, conduct of key informant interviews, and focus group discussions) towards the development of new learning cases and materials
  • Provide logistical support in the conduct of research activities and other tasks that may be required

IV. Qualifications

  • Graduate of any social sciences course
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience
